WORK EXPERIENCE

Path of Liberty: That Which Unites Us

Assistant Producer

New York, NY

I've spent the past several months working for award-winning filmmakers Daniella Vale, Hannah Gregg, and Jessica Pilot to help produce a large-scale public documentary instillation piece in midtown, Manhattan. This has included editing audio stories, managing finances, writing press releases and pitches, editing web content, and more. I recently transitioned to a part time role, where I'm helping to plan outreach events at the exhibit, which sits on the largest privately owned green space in Manhattan.

February 2025 - Present

Freelancer

New York, NY

  • Producer, Real Talk with Mamas - I've been the lead producer and sound designer on an upcoming two-way style podcast on the Black maternal health crisis. I take long conversations about the joys and hardships of motherhood and turn them into 25-30 minute episodes, punctuated with music.

  • Production Assistant, Giant Grin - I was hired as a "last listener" on an upcoming narrative podcast series by Jad Abumrad, providing detailed feedback on clarity, pacing, logic, and listener experience. I also do transcription work for the project.

  • Contributing Writer, Nothing Bogus I wrote an article about "Shorts Movie Theater," the first cinema in the U.S. dedicated entirely to short films. It was published in Nothing Bogus, a newsletter that covers the indie film world. My very talented friend Max Cea runs it and you should subscribe.

  • Outreach Assistant, The Gas Station Attendant - I work with documentary filmmaker Karla Murthy, whose recent film, The Gas Station Attendant, is currently making the rounds on the festival circuit. I help with promotion and outreach. The film premiered in June 2025 to much critical acclaim.

  • Production Assistant, Mediazoo I worked as a PA on a commercial shoot for Tiffany's. This is just one of many random PA gigs I have done and doesn't exactly speak to my editorial acumen but I'm including it because it was cool—and perhaps it reflects a baseline level of competence that I was allowed on the fanciest floor of Tiffany's corporate office.

January 2025 - Present

WNYC / New York Public Radio

New York, NY

  • Intern, All Things Considered - I pitched, scripted and produced live and pre-taped segments voiced by Sean CarIson on WNYC's daily afternoon news show. I booked guests, gathered sound, wrote/voiced several spot stories, wrote daily newscasts and transit reports, and conducted interviews for cut copy. I also got to report a handful of Gothamist articles and voice a corresponding radio feature.

  • Intern, The Brian Lehrer Show - I pitched, scripted, and produced over 15 segments during my summer internship at the most iconic radio show in New York City. Towards the end of the summer, I was writing most of the scripts for the show's weekly "Ask The Mayor" segments—a landmark of the program. Another one of my segments was turned into a Gothamist article. I also managed daily communication tasks, screened calls, booked guests, cut tape, and did quality checks for our daily politics podcast.

June 2024 - December 2024

Yale University Department of PsychoIogy

Editorial Assistant, The Perch

I edited two dozen pieces for the 2024 issue of The Perch, Yale’s Graduate School of Psychology’s biannual literary magazine. The issue focused on substance abuse, and the content included poetry, personal essays, and scholarly articles. I was responsible for line and copy editing the high-need submissions, working with writers of all ages to shape and sharpen their work.

September 2023 - April 2024

U.S. House of Representatives

District Speechwriter and Staff Assistant, The Office of Congressman Mondaire Jones

White Plains, New York

I wrote speeches for the former Congressman Mondaire Jones (NY-17). I also wrote our weekly newsletter, authored countless press releases and media advisories, and wrote and copy edited most of our web content. I was also the event planner for all in-district events, including town halls, press conferences, and mobile office hours. This was the job where I got good at writing in someone else's voice, and became adept at turning stories about boring, municipal upgrades into tear-jerking meditations on the critical role of infrastructure in building a more just world. Okay maybe not quite, but I once wrote a speech about a sidewalk that was really good.

January 2022 - January 2023

Heritage Radio Network

Research and Radio Fellow

I produced weekly segments for Meat and Three, the flagship show of HRN, a non-profit radio network covering the world of food and agriculture. I did some in-depth audio reporting and got my feet wet in the world of audio storytelling.

January 2021 - June 2021

Nyack News and Views

Managing Editor and Features Reporter

I edited daily articles at a hyper-local online news outlet. I also wrote many features, including several pieces on the dissolution of my native South Nyack following the contentious sale of a local college campus to a nearby Yeshiva.

January 2021 - June 2021

The Wesleyan Argus

Editor-in-Chief

I oversaw production operations for Wesleyan University’s biweekly newspaper, editing 40+ articles weekly and managing dozens of reporters and editors. During my tenure at The Argus—first as a news editor, later as a features editor, and ultimately as EIC—I wrote and reported over 60 articles on subjects ranging from local politics to institutional malfeasance to student climate activism. I also created a communications team that expanded the Argus’ digital and social media presence, managed the paper's finances, and spent every Monday and Thursday of my college experience in the newsroom.

January 2021 - June 2021

WESU 88.1 FM

DJ, This Just In

I hosted a radio show with my friend Steph Dukich called This Just In, where we chatted about the day's top headlines and played topical music (think: "If I Ruled the World (Imagine That)" by Nas and Lauryn Hill during the democratic debates in the fall of 2019...what a time). I discovered in the making of this website that there is no record of it online, but I swear it existed and was really fun.

I have also done other stuff like service, retail, and childcare work. I really like chatting with strangers, taking care of toddlers, and telling stories.

January 2021 - June 2021

EDUCATION

Master of Journalism

Craig Newmark Graduate School for Journalism

New York, NY

2023 - 2024

  • I was in the Local Accountability concentration, so a lot of my courses were focused on city government and politics.

  • For my capstone, I investigated the hidden role of private equity in New York’s burgeoning cannabis industry and how justice-affiliated entrepreneurs are taking unofficial buyouts from big business. I published a version of this piece for my program, but I'm still working with editors to hone it for broader publication.

  • I did an audio specialization, meaning I took several advanced audio classes and became fluent in pro tools. I also did a data specialization, and became well-versed in basic data analysis skills using python and excel. I obviously did not get that good at using HTML and CSS hence why I'm using this epic template. It's like the Warby Parker of making a website.

Bachelor of Arts

Wesleyan University

Middletown, CT

  • I was in a program called the "College of Letters," a small interdisciplinary major focusing on Western philosophy, literature, and history. I read a lot of books and liked it a lot.

  • For my Senior Thesis, I conducted a year-long investigative journalism project on the socio-political impact bloc voting in the Hasidic communities of Rockland County. It received High Honors and took like ten years off of my life.
